Holtec International has a worldwide business presence with headquarters located in Marlton, New Jersey, approximately 15 miles East of Philadelphia, PA. The company also maintains several operations centers around the world, including major bases of operation in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania).
The Engineer will have the primary responsibilities to:
Coordinate and perform engineering assignments to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates
Maintain daily records of equipment production and shipments to ensure accurate inventory and tracking of all parts
Track equipment inventory while forecasting future needs
Assess equipment functionality and operability and perform routine maintenance as required.
Identify process improvements for equipment and spare parts tracking
Assist in preparation of technical reports (Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Purchase Specifications, Load Test Procedures, Equipment Recertification Procedures, etc.)
Conduct equipment drawing reviews for functionality and operability requirements with the purpose of identifying design change impacts
Assist design team members with their responsibilities for an accurate and timely execution of project deliverables
Determine effective implementation methods and strategies based on benefits, risks, and cost
Maintain files and records of the research and final documentation, including any technical basis and calculations that support procedure writing efforts
Perform independent technical reviews of procedures as directed by management
Work with engineers and fabricators to develop design improvements for existing equipment.
All candidates MUST possess the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline
Ability to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as required.
Ability to obtain nuclear plant access as required.
Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent math, analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g. interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, fits, GD&T)
Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision
Prefer Nuclear Experience, but not required
Prefer E.I.T. Certification, but not required
