Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to be responsible for processing biweekly payroll, reviewing and performing payroll audits, reviewing payroll and payroll reports for accuracy, as well as serving as a point of contact for questions about payment policies and procedures.

We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to be responsible for processing biweekly payroll, reviewing and performing payroll audits, reviewing payroll and payroll reports for accuracy, as well as serving as a point of contact for questions about payment policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Handles the processing of biweekly payroll.
- Assists with updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, direct deposit information, 401K deferrals and/or loans, deductions, and pay rate changes.
- Assists with reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
- Assists the accounting departments with balancing the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear, use a computer for communication via email or TEAMS messaging, process payroll, create reports from the payroll system, etc.. The associate is require to work in an office environment and interact with co-workers and other associates related to responding to assignments, questions or inquiries.
- This role requires an attention to detail in the performance of the duties
- 1-4 years of payroll processing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related area (Or equivalent professional experience)
- ADP Workforce Now is a plus, but not required.
