ISFSI Security Training Supervisor

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) Security Training is responsible for implementing the Security Training and Qualification Plan. The position will ensure that all security personnel are administered the required training as committed in the Security Training and Qualification Plan. This is accomplished by the following:
- Responsible for supervising all security personnel while in a training setting or while providing shift coverage; Providing shift oversight during special circumstances; Providing instruction to all security personnel as required in the site Training and Qualification Plan; Conducting classroom and firing range training to security personnel; Conducting tactical training to security officers and supervisors in support of the site defensive strategy; Performing TPE for all Security positions.
- Participating in the hiring process for security personnel; Conducting fact findings and Human performance error reviews to support the MARC process; Processing all qualification/training related grievances.
- Developing and/or revising security lesson plans and training procedures; Developing lesson plans and conducting ISFSI Security Associate initial training and continuing training necessary to qualify ISFSI Security Associate for implementing normal and contingency operations; Supporting the design, development, modification, and implementation of training materials; Monitoring the program daily to ensure activities are conducted in a technically accurate, safe manner and in accordance with fleet standards.
- Ensuring compliance with state, federal laws and regulatory requirements; Keeping appropriate company management personnel apprised of security training related activities and conditions; Providing documentation of security training provided in required regulatory format; Processing completed qualification documents for training records submittals; Reviewing and incorporating feedback to improve instructor performance.
- Conducts classroom and firing range training to security personnel. Maintains the security training facilities, to include the firing range; Maintains all required firearms and training certifications; strictly enforce safe weapons handling IAW training and fleet governance procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The ISFSI Security Training, in addition to having the appropriate technical and tactical mindset, must be able to instill public and regulatory confidence in this role, and maintain necessary skills and qualifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years nuclear plant (preferably in security), military or law enforcement experience with 3 years being supervisory experience.
- Desired: B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice, Engineering or other discipline generally associated with plant operations or equivalent work experience.
- Desired: Qualified with systematic approach to training (SAT) instructor
- Desired: experience in developing lesson plans and classroom presentations
- Desired: supervisory experience
- Desired: minimum of two years as a security training instructor
- Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain initial and maintain annual weapons qualifications.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain License to Carry (LTC).
- If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history.

SALARY RANGE
Minimum: $73,000.00
Maximum: $110,000.00
