Role and Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for but not limited to, performing Dimensional inspections on projects in addition to other non-NDE activities that may be requested.

• Conduct Receipt inspections in accordance with written procedures and acceptance criteria then complete applicable paperwork.
• Conduct mechanical inspections using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and complete applicable paperwork.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings correctly.
• Issue non-conformances reports for discrepant items and tag the items appropriately.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical (dimensional) inspector.
• Successful applicant will have a systematic approach to work, be detail oriented and able to finish assignments with little supervision. 
• Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Access).
• Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
• Good teamwork skills, participating in team environment.
• Willing and capable of standing the entire shift.
• Willing and capable of working Off-Shifts to support company needs.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and principles to support working in a safe environment

PERFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently qualified (or documented experience with) Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precision geometrical dimensional inspections (GD&T) such as FARO laser trackers and/or Arms.
