ISFSI Access Authorization Supervisor

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) Security Access Supervisor is responsible for implementing the site’s access and Fitness for Duty Program. The Security Access Supervisor reports directly to the Security Manager. This position administers the site’s access and fitness for duty program field activities in accordance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations. This is accomplished by the following:
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple commitments at once are essential.
- Reviews and adjudicates derogatory background information, arrests, and criminal history.
- Responsible for making final decisions on granting or denying unescorted access (UAA), which encompasses the Behavior Observation Program (BOP).
- Ensuring a system of record retention, maintenance and retrievability related to the UAA Program
- Interfaces with appliable personnel to in-process new employees and contractors.
- Communicates Access/FFD information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
- Directs day to day activities in AA/FFD/Medical group.
- Communicates and coordinates with Fleet Access Authorization peers
- Primary liaison with Background Investigation Companies, Medical Readiness Officer, Quest Diagnostics, Contracted Psychologists, NEI and other applicable external agencies
- Initiating actions in accordance with the UAA Program to withdraw UAA/UA and notify appropriate personnel when needed.
EDUCATION, LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The ISFSI Security Access Supervisor, in addition to having the appropriate technical and tactical mindset, must be able to instill public and regulatory confidence in this role, and maintain necessary skills and qualifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years nuclear plant (preferably in security), military or law enforcement experience with 3 years being supervisory experience.
- Desired: B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice, Engineering or other discipline generally associated with plant operations or equivalent work experience.
- Desired: supervisory experience
- Desired: minimum of two years as a security training instructor
- Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain initial and maintain annual weapons qualifications.
- If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history.

SALARY RANGE:
Minimum: $89,000.00
Maximum: $133,000.00
