Holtec Palisades is currently seeking an Accounts Payable/ Payroll Timesheet Clerk to join the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant team in Covert, MI.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Responsible for processing Accounts Payable invoices for Corporate Accounts Payable for entry into the accounting system. Dual entry is required into a secondary accounting system. Other responsibilities include verifying payroll timesheets for all employees, maintaining accurate payroll timesheet records, and ensuring accuracy and adherence to Holtec’s policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This position is onsite at Holtec Palisades in Covert, MI.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices for entry into the Accounting System.
  • Researching Accounts Payable issues and providing up to date information to the vendor
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, and deductions.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes as needed.
  • Participate in process initiatives to increase accuracy of the payroll function.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum experience required of the position:
  • 8-10 years of experience in AP processing is required.
  • Payroll/ timesheet experience is required.
  • Union experience is HIGHLY preferred.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment.
  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience with ADP software desired.
  • Experience with Kinetic and/or Asset Suite a plus.
