Food Service Grill Cook

Responsibilities
  • Preps daily breakfast and lunch items per the weekly menu
  • Takes orders from guests and prepares items accordingly
  • Serves guests in an efficient, friendly manner
  • Ensures all food is at the correct temperature and logged into the temperature book
  • Uses approved recipes and productions standards to ensure a consistent, quality product
  • Carries pots and pans of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator
  • Stores food in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, labeling and food safety rotation procedures
  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Holtec Café Management
Requirements
  • Positive, helpful attitude toward customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
  • Team player
  • Ability to work a flat top, fryer, grill and other kitchen equipment
  • Basic food knowledge
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards and register receipts
  • Must have ability to work with and lead other crew members, as well as the ability to take direction from Supervisor/Manager.
  • SERV safe certification is a plus, but not a requirement
The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
