Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Facilities Supervisor in its Projects department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI.

Job Summary:
Provides oversight of activities associated with maintaining and improving the site buildings and grounds at Holtec Palisades Nuclear plant. Manages a small in-house staff of craft-persons as well as a multitude of vendors to fulfill facilities requests generated by site personnel and self-assigned maintenance and upgrade of site facilities, such as grounds maintenance, parking lots and roadways, building envelope (roof, siding, windows), building interiors, setup / tear-down for events, snow removal, tree removal, building HVAC systems, elevators, site sewage systems, equipment and vehicle maintenance and rentals.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Manages facilities-related contracts and expenditures, including obtaining proposals, submitting requisitions, approving invoices, and ensuring vendors adhere to contractual obligations.
- Oversee facilities Holtec and vendor personnel to ensure work is performed in accordance with site procedures and is performed safely and with quality.
- Improves the site appearance and condition to eventually be regarded as the highest standard for the industry.
- Manage snow removal to ensure the site is safe for pedestrian traffic, including managing the tools, supplies, equipment, and personnel to achieve best-in-class winter conditions.
- Performs First Line Supervisor duties. Performs field observations of personnel to reinforce standards and expectations and identify gaps in performance.
- Initiates and executes frequent exchanges with others, as necessary, to resolve areas of conflict, promotes a supportive team approach, and addresses issues where obstacles are hampering team performance.
- Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of facility activities. Communicates technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
- Works with management to identify and address performance deficiencies. Recommends and implements actions to improve gaps to operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years commercial or military nuclear work experience. B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience.
- Technical understanding of facility maintenance and general construction techniques.
