Description:

Holtec is seeking an experienced professional with project management and/or business development expertise to support existing projects and grow the company’s core business in the energy and petrochemicals industries. This role requires specific expertise and focus on nuclear fuel and waste management for commercial nuclear power plants. The main task for this position is project development and project oversight in UAE and other Western Asia countries, interfacing with the client and local supply chain to successfully execute the developed projects and/or develop the projects.

The Program Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of International Projects, initially working remotely from a home office within assigned territory.  The position will require regular travel to client offices, fabrication facilities, and nuclear power plants within the assigned territory. Quarterly visits to Holtec’s home office in Camden are also expected.  The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in technical and commercial aspects of Holtec’s core business areas and capable of operating independently. In addition to developing and maintaining relationships with clients, the position includes administrative responsibilities such as vendor registrations, proposal preparation, and regulatory compliance oversight.  The candidate must be highly motivated, results-oriented and capable of interacting with business executives at all levels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and develop business opportunities with the potential clients to expand Holtec’s business. Core focus areas are to provide the engineering services and site service to support the operation of Baraka NPP, develop the SNF dry storage project to Baraka NPP, and develop the SMR opportunities in UAE and other Western Asia countries.
  • Provide local project oversight during the project execution.
  • Provide continued support to Holtec’s US-based project team during project execution, supporting the resolution of any technical, contractual, or regulatory issues with the client and interfacing with local subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new clients and partners in Holtec’s core business areas within assigned territory, working closely with Holtec’s US-based office for technical and commercial support.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and lead both technical and commercial discussions with prospective clients.
  • Coordinate and prepare proposals in collaboration with Holtec’s corporate office, including review and signoff of commercial terms and pricing by executive team.
  • Support review of contracts with Holtec’s legal team and add value with regards to risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and attend conferences and marketing events in territory that result in new business.
  • Register with potential clients for RFPs.
  • Develop and provide weekly sales reports on potential business opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities (depending upon candidate’s technical capabilities and interests)

  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Work with the project management team to ensure that all customer requirements are met in the design, manufacturing and installation stages.
  • Manage/Coordinate Quality Oversight of local subcontractors.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the nuclear industry.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a well-recognized university.
  • Fluent in English language.
