Truck Driver (In-House)

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.
  • Move materials from plant to plant, pickup and deliver, load and unload, and maintain the truck and other handling equipment.
  • Check fluid levels and condition of truck daily.  Notify management of any deficiencies.  Notify management when State Inspection is due.
  • Clean truck to maintain good business appearance, as required.
  • Record time and production of proper forms.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver’s license for all vehicles.
  • Handle material as needed by hand, crane, jib, forklift or other handling equipment.
  • Train personnel as needed.

Physical Demands & Abilities

  • Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • May be required to work at heights and/or in confined spaces.
  • May work alone with minimal supervision or with other personnel.
  • Will work in various areas of the plant location.  Dependent upon the area, environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet and noisy.
  • Ability to walk, climb, crawl, bend, crouch, and use ladders.


  • Logistics Manager, Shop Managers, Logistics Supervisor, Production Supervisors, Product Line Managers

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of twelve (12) months of recent equipment hauling experience using combination tractor-trailer required; driving skills with heavy equipment hauling preferred.
  • Experience loading heavy and oversized loads required.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts required.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • CDL Class A License
  • Ability to work/train on any shift including weekends
